Marlene was very nice, very quiet, and very pretty (much more so than the yearbook picture above shows). I also seem to remember a sadness about her that I couldn’t quite pinpoint, unless the fog of memory is just confusing that with introversion. I hope she had someone in her life to cheer her up during her last years.
