Just got word that our classmate John Scheer passed away on December 25th, 2016 after a hard fought battle with cancer. May his memory be a blessing to us.
John and I went to Onley Elementary, Olney High and Drexel together. He was in my wedding in 1970. He and friends Harry and Austin visited us when I was in graduate school in the the Boston area. We lost touch except for one visit he made to our home in Pittsburgh.

I am so sad to hear of John's passsing. I was not aware. John was a terrific man, husband, brother, father, and friend. We shared a birthday one day apart, which we often kidded about. My heart and deepest thoughts go out to Sally and his family. God bless John and his family.
