Glenn Benson, 58 year old resident of Randall, MN passed away Sat. May 23, 2009 at his farm in Randall, MN. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 AM Friday, May 29, 2009 at St. James Catholic Church in Randall, MN with Father Raymond Donnay officiating. 

A visitation will be held from 4-8 PM Thursday, May 28th at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service (Southeast Chapel) in Little Falls and from 10-11:15 A.M. Friday May 29th at St. James Catholic Church in Randall. A prayer service will be held at 6:30 P.M. Thursday evening at the funeral home. Military honors will be conducted by the Randall
V. F.W. Post #9073.

Glenn Sherman Benson was born December 16, 1950 in Minneapolis, MN to Sherman and Louise (Davis) Benson. He and his family later moved to Arizona where he graduated from Washington High School in Phoenix, AZ. Glenn served as an M.P. in Korea during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged on June 1, 1976. He later moved back to Minnesota and lived in Otsego, MN. 

In 1992, Glenn moved to Randall, MN. Glenn was united in marriage to Jessica Berg on May 20, 2006 on their home farm in Randall, MN. 

He loved farming, animals, spending time outdoors and talking with other people who loved horses as much as he did. Glenn also enjoyed and was very proud of his Quarter Horse breeding program. He especially loved and cherished the time spent playing with his grandkids. When he was growing up, he was very active in F.F.A and was an active leader for his children's 4-H club. Glenn was also actively involved in the local township board. 

Glenn will be deeply missed by his wife, Jessica Benson of Randall, MN; parents, Sherman and Louise Benson of Sun City, AZ; daughters, Katie (Joel) Keene and Laura (Dan) Brekke, both of Otsego, MN; son, Joshua (Brenda) Benson of Elk River, MN; sister, Sheri (John) Penson of Arizona; brothers, Chris Benson of Arizona and Bruce (Lynn) Benson of Anoka, MN; eight grandchildren, Hailey, Abbey, Noah, Annicka and Cody Benson, Clara, Pearl and Grace Keene and his beloved Bulldog, Winnie.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Roger Benson.

Serving as pallbearers were Josh Benson, Daniel Brekke, John Penson, Raymond Davis, Jerad Dahl, Rick Jackson, Shane Hendrickson and Ted Berg. Honorary pallbearers were Marvin Anderson, Johnny Anderson, Ricky Flicek, Larry Schrupp, Rick Lundgren and Dennis Kurowski.
