Steven J. Steve Levine

STEVEN JAY LEVINE, age 66. Beloved husband of 34 years to Linda (Buck); son of the late Freda (Weisman) and Myron Levine; son-in-law of Doris (Heidt) and the late Raemon Buck; proud graduate and supporter of The Ohio State University Class of 1973.  Steve was born July 13, 1951 and passed away suddenly from a massive stroke on May 15, 2018.

Steve attended Ohio State University where he became a manager on the OSU Golf Team.  This allowed him to travel all over the country while also getting an excellent education. He even got pretty good at golf too. After graduation in 1972, Steve became very  involved in the OSU Booster Club and started a very successful Financial Planning Business with a former OSU football star.

Steve was an enthusiastic and financial supporter of the WHS reunions through the years and loved coming to them and reconnecting with his old friends.

Memorial Service Friday, May 18, 2:30 PM. in the CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME of NORTH OLMSTED, 29150 LORAIN RD. AT STEARNS where friends may call 1:30 UNTIL TIME OF SERVICE.

In lieu of flowers contributions to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.

FROM RICK COFFMAN:

On my first day, in 6th grade, at Maryland Grade School, my first class was music. The teacher introduced me and I sat in the back row. The kid next to me wrote something on his pad and passed it to me. It said "Steven Levine" I wrote "Rick Coffman" and passed it back. So started our long friendship.

At Washington High School Steve, being very smart but not very athletic became a manager on some of sports teams.   Steve attended Ohio State University and became a manager on the OSU Golf Team. Not a bad life traveling all over the country  while he was getting an excellent education. He actually got pretty good at golf too. After graduating Steve became very  involved in the OSU Booster Club and started a very successful Financial Planning Business with a former OSU football star.

He later married Linda Buck (a wonderful gal). They've been happy for many years. Many prayers for Linda.

I was talking to Steve about 15 years ago and he started talking about the Easter service at his Church. Yes, he had accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior and we had another connection.

Steve loved coming to the WHS reunions and reconnecting with his old friends.

I shall greatly miss Steven Levine but I know I will see him again.

Rick Coffman
