Debbie and I attended Orangewood Elementary School, probably since the 1st grade. In 7th grade we were in the same classroom together. Friday night,November 22, 1963, she was having a slumber party. This was the day President Kennedy was assassinated. I'm sure we all remember that day. We weren't sure if we should still have the party but we did. Jan McKiernan and Janet Briswalter were there and probably Debbie Corn. It was a much quieter party knowing what happened that day but also good to be together.

I spoke with Debbie before our 30th WHS REUNION to see if she was gonna attend. Her son had passed away and she was having a hard time dealing with his death. I saw her sister, Linda, a couple years ago and she said Debbie had passed away. So sad. I will always remember her laughter.

Betsy, I was at that slumber party, too, and I remember it well. I recently found out about Debbie's death via my stepfather who is a musician friend of Debbie's father. My stepfather mentioned the name Luplow and I said I went to school with Debbie Luplow. He groaned and told me the story. Very, very sad!

This is the first I heard about Debbie's passing.  I really liked her and am so sorry to hear of her passing.  Yes, Betsy and Sheryl, I was at that slumber party too.  It would be so interesting to hear a recording of our conversations that night, considering the circumstances.

Wow I knew there were several girls but couldn't remember who.  I like that idea of wishing we had a recording of our conversation that night.  It was the beginning of a major shift in the America we once new. We were all glued to the tv that whole weekend.
