David Tognoni

David Tognoni

David Quentin Tognoni, 66, of Elephant Butte New Mexico died March 2, 2019, from Stage 4 small cell cancer. 

He was the founder of the American Magnesium Co., seeking investor funding and government permits to explore a dolomite deposit. He was the son of sculptor George Ann Tognoni (D.2008) and Hale Tognoni (d.1998) prominent attorney and engineer.

One of 5 siblings he grew up in Phoenix on the corner of 15th Avenue and Northern. He graduated from Washington High School in 1970. He was a member of a tightly-knit group of 4-H er's.

An entreprenurial  mining engineer and geologist, driven by his love of the land and it's potential his projects ranged from gold mining and other forms of mineral exploration in Arizona and Nevada.

A friend once said, "He never met a rock he didn't love."

Posey Moore (Nash)

In grade school David was a friend to so many. He was from a large family of multi talented people.

High school, he wrestled, did well in school and was part of 4-H. He became a mining engineer,

and died of cancer.
