This makes me very sad. I knew Mario from elementary school, Ss. Simon and Jude. He was always a really nice guy (handsome too)...and a heck of a baseball player! I've often wondered what happened to him and his brother, Joe.
I went thru boot camp with Mario at Marine Corps Recruit Depot in San Diego Jan 1971. He was a rock, nothing seemed to phase him. Lost track of him after that, I went to aviation training & i believe he stayed at Camp Pendelton. I was overseas byDecember & we never saw each other again.
