Ron McDonald

Ronnie (Ron) Eugene McDonald, of Clifton, passed away at St. Mary's Hospital on July 5, 2007.  He was 54.  Ron was born on September 2, 1952 in Phoenix, Arizona, from the union of Bobbie McDonald and Elsie Adams. He spent his childhood in Phoenix, and graduated from Washington High School in Phoenix. He was a resident of Clifton for 19 years.

Ron married Roberta Lynn Martin on June 12, 1999 in Grand Junction. Ron was a police officer for a number of years. He was also a truck driver and had worked in the construction industry as a drywall finisher. Ron was a member of Fellowship Church in Grand Junction. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, and spending time with his grandchildren and his family.

Ron is survived by his wife, Roberta Lynn McDonald, of Clifton, CO; his parents, Bobbie and Elsie McDonald of Safford, AZ; two sons, Troy Kirchoffer and Scott Kirchoffer of Tucson, AZ; two daughters, Amy McDonald of Grand Junction, CO and Jamie Shoup of Clifton, CO; two brothers, Robert McDonald of Safford, AZ and Doug McDonald of Sierra Vista, AZ; one sister, Diane Kelly of Grand Junction, CO; and four grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 10, at Fellowship Church, 765 24 Road, in Grand Junction at 11:00 a.m. with Michelle Nichols officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Martin Mortuary.
