In Memory of Dean Paul Coonrod
April 23, 1950 - January 15, 2013
Obituary

Dean Paul Coonrod, 62, passed away Tuesday January 15th, 2013. His death was sudden
and unexpected, resulting from complications of a manageable liver condition he was battling
with.  He died at home,in Glendale, AZ, found by a family member concerned that he could
not be reached.

He is survived by his younger half-brother, Jeff Harms, and two younger half-sisters,
Dianna and Carin Coonrod. Dean and Jeff grew up together in the Phoenix area, but Dean
also kept up with his father's family in California, with many visits to/from his sisters and
others on the Coonrod side.

He was a widower, having endured the passing of his wife, Susie Huddleston three years
earlier. Dean remained close with his wife's side of the family here in Phoenix, and had a
special affection for his brother-in-law Tom Huddleston, as well as Bob & Sharon Brown,
parents of Tom's wife, Nicci.

"Dino", as he was known by, had recently retired from the Postal Service and had many
friends at the Post Office. Dino was a truck driver, a "professional driver" as he always described
it, and touched many lives during his time with us. He had a special gift to recognize people
in need, and would reach out in small but significant ways to touch the hearts of those suffering
and bring some cheer to them. He had a special sense of humor that would "grow on you",
and lived his life with honor and integrity. Anyone he chose tocall friend was blessed by that
designation. We will miss him dearly and the world is diminished by him no longer being in it.

Memorial services will be held at the Greenwood Memory Lawn cemetery, in Phoenix,
at 1:00 PM on Monday, February 4th. A limited reception will follow at 3:00PM at the
Old Spaghetti Factory on North Central Avenue. Dean had pre-arranged his funeral,
choosing cremation. His ashes will be placed in a resting place provided at his wife's gravesite.
