Reunions

2015 Homecoming & Reunion

2015 marked the 40th Anniversary for many of our sisters who graduated in 1975.  Those of us who gathered in Pittsburgh this past October graduated in various years, but any reason to get together is something of which we like to take advantage!

What used to be the Victory Garden we knew, now showcases a replica of a school ring sized to fit Godzilla! Notice that the cross has been moved - you can spot it in the background on the far right side of the pic.

Left to right: Joanne Naso, Ellen Hodges (Bayek), Debbie Kranik (Smith), Kathy Kirk (Scott), Janice Falavina, Judie Simpson, Patty Schlict (Quinn).

Once a parking lot - now a football field!

By the way, Duquesne slaughtered the other team!

(More pics to come!!  In addition to those pictured above, also in our company for all/part of the weekend were: Vicki Stefanov (Gordon), Mary Ann Evans (McGuirk), Kiki Clementi (Labson), Doretta Leo, Phyllis Smith, Georgeanne Schlicht, Dottie Egan (Serzega), Millie Hoyt (our adopted sister)!

Here are the shirts in progress!

2013 Reunion & Homecoming

Thanks to the enormous and dedicated efforts of Patty Schlicht and others on the Alumni Committee at Duquesne, we were able to have a large gathering of sisters from near and far. We also met our "replacements," the sisters of Gamma Phi Beta.  Let me restate that, NO ONE could ever replace the Sisters of Tau Delta Tau!

Here's to some memories!

Starting with the 1970s...

2011 Reunion - Freeport, PA - Home of Vicki Stefanov Gordon - JULY 15

July 15, 16, & 17th - Tau Delts unite at the Vicki Stefanov Gordon farm for some good "farm therapy."  What is "farm therapy," you ask? It is a term coined by the grand dame herself, Vicki, who you can see peeking from under the trees in her hat, and in the photo on the right!

The sprawling 101 acres provided exactly the calm away from the storm that we all needed and a perfect place to reflect on times gone by and our dreams for the future!

Eleven horses live on the Gordon farm among the chickens and the cats. ...and then there is the pool and the hot tub!

L to R: Vicki Stefanov Gordon, Judie Simpson, Debbie Kranik Smith, Joanne Naso, Kiki (Margherita) Clementi Labson (Wait! Where is Kirk?)

Debbie Kranik Smith & Kathy Kirk Scott

Joanne Naso & Debbie Kranik Smith (Does it seem like Kirk and Naso keep trading places???? Okay, well someone has to take the picture!)

Chef Kiki bringing her culinary talents to life in the kitchen.  Mmmmmm Mmmmmmm good!

Judie Simpson, Vicki Stefanov Gordon & Joanne Naso opening a bottle of wine. Why did it take 3 of us you ask? One to hold the bottle, one to figure out the cork screw and the third to steal a photo opp!

Vicki shows Judie Simpson how to be a farm hand. (L) Vicki and Judie are on their way to collect eggs form the chickens.  (R) Judie is loving it as she checks the food supply for the 9 kittens that kept us company all weekend

L to R: Kiki Clementi Labson, Rose Cafardi Stitt, Vicki Stefanov Gordon, Judie Simpson, Debbie Kranik Smith, Maureen Bertha Campbell, Joanne Naso, Kathy Kirk Scott

Golly, we look mighty serious.  Must be a heavy conversation - Clockwise: Judie Simpson (Hmm, I wonder what's for dinner?), Kiki Clementi Labson (The Thinker pose), Vicki Stefanov Gordon (Hmm, I wonder what that is crawling on Rose's shoulder?), Joanne Naso (I'll just smile because the only other one doing that is Kirk), Debbie Kranik Smith (oh oh, I think I better smile quickly..ohhh, too late!); Kathy Kirk Scott (I'll just smile because the only other one doing that is Naso); Rose Cafardi Stitt (Hey, who is that behind me?); Empty chair next to Rose belongs to the picture taker, Maureen Bertha Capbell.

Judie wouldn't pose when she got all gussied up to leave for part of the day to go to a wedding, but here lay her jacket and the shoes she borrowed from Joanne Naso. Maybe all pharmacists have the same size feet!  Not!

We took a trip to campus as our reunion came to a close, Unfortunately, we couldn't get into the Union. Drats! But, we can always take a picture. L to R: Vicki Stefanov Gordon, Judie Simpson, Kathy Kirk Scott, Debbie Kranik Smith, KiKi Clementi labson. Smile ladies. (Joanne Naso is taking the picture!)

A new sign dones the entrance to campus (well, it was new to us!)

A view from the walkway that crosses Forbes to the new fitness center. No, we were not flying.

A view up Academic walk as we were leaving the Towers.  We tried to talk our way up to the 17th floor, but no go. Where did those old skills go when we could talk our way into anything? As I recall, we were not always so great talking our way out of things!

The Towers. Where there once was a parking lot there is now a football field.

Our trip comes to a close and day is done! God bless us, every one!
