Thank You as always for all you do and have done ,Joanne The bench and words are perfect. I come from Freehold,NJ and I have often been to Asbury Park. I was born in Neptune right next to Asbury Park  We will have to get to see the bench. Where is it and what is it near.

Thank and Much Love to you and all. Jim & Nancy Burtt

Nancy & Jim - thank you for your thoughtful message. I was unaware that you grew up in NJ. I recently learned or remembered or both that Judie grew up in Maplewood, NJ.  That is probably why she loved the Jersey shore so much. Undoubtedly there were many family weekend trips there.

You know what they say: " You can take the girl out of Jersey but you can't take Jesrsey out of the girl."  Actually, I'm not sure anyone says that. I think it is more like: "Jersey girls don't pump gas." Anyway,..

I don't think the plaque has been completed. I certainly will let you know when it is.  Hopefully, I will be able to learn of its exact location once placed on a bench from my contact person at the Asbury Park Chamber of Commerce.  If not, I'll send Caitlin on the hunt.  Probably, it will be more like, "Caitlin, would you mind terribly please looking for Judie's plaque, pretty please!"

My hope is to gather a group together at the bench sometime soon.  Likely not in the freeze of winter unless some want to do the Polar plunge in January sponsored by the Asbury Park Rotary Club.  I have participated in it there on 3 occasions. Why not again? It's for a good cause - giving sight to those blinded by corneal disease and macular degeneration. Any takers?
