Valerie J. Burns, age 77 of Grove City, OH passed away on July 2, 2019 at Mt. Carmel Grove City Hospital.  She was born to the late Victor and Florence Anderson in Chicago, IL on 3-4-1942.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles A. Burns.  Valerie is survived by one son, Brian L. Burns and two daughters, Christinna L Burns and Joyce A. Burns.  Valerie was a longtime member of St. John's Luthern Church.  Valerie loved the Lord.  One of her greatest joys was that all of her three children know the Lord.  Valerie was a home economist and a teacher.  She spent most of her life advocating for her two disabled children, Brian and Christina.  She was a very loving and patient woman.  She shared her wisdom with family and friends.  She enjoyed knitting, sewing and cooking and especially loved her cats Elka and Kimmy.  

The funeral was 7-9-2019 at the St. John's Luthern Church and burial handled by the Newcomer Funeral Home, both of Grove City, Ohio.
