Margaret (Margi) McElray Lane passed away 3-20-2023 at the age of 82. Margi was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, but resided in Palatine, IL for the past 44 years. Beloved wife for 56 years of the late Donald Lane. Loving mother to Laurie (Jerry) Coglianese, Melissa (John) Boncosky and Sue (Bill) Amedeo. Cherished "Nana" to Kip Harden, Justin and Mathew Boncosky, and Faith and Grace Amendeo. Dearest sister to Susan Corbett.
Margi graduated from Mt. Lebanon High School in 1959 and attended Katherine Gibbs Secretarial College in Boston, MA. She served in various secretarial positions ending at Jane Addams Elementary School in District 15. Margi and Don enjoyed living in various cities across the country before settling in Palatine, IL.
Margi was an avid reader, stitcher, master Halloween costume maker, amazing homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother and sister.

Wendy Turner (Meyer)
Margi was one of my best friends going way back to first grade at Foster Elementary, Mellon Junior High, & graduating from Mt. Lebanon. She & Don married two weeks after Hank & I in 1964. We always stayed in touch as they moved across thr country. Our most memorable get-together was with Bunni & Marshall Hoffman, Margi & Don in Savannah for a weekend!
My sympathy to Sue Corbett, her sister, her daughters, Lauri, Melissa, & Sue, & grandkids. Cherish the Great memories always. Wendy Turner Meyer
