Where have the years gone and how wonderful it is that we are coming together.
I have been married and living in the Philadelphia area for 39 years. For my entire career, I have worked in the field of disability, inspired by my sister Nancy, who as many of you remember was a force of nature! I have been fortunate to travel and work in many parts of the world which are emerging in services and practices for people with disabilities and just returned from a three week opportunity in Hungary and the Czech Republic. Of course there is always time for fun and I took full advantage of the mineral springs baths that are available in both countries and which promise to aid with "maturing skin."
I have also been fortunate to be involved in a number of projects with women and am convener of a group called Today's Women, which provides community educational forums for women in our county, Montgomery County Pa. It has been a great opportunity to collaborate with women from many walks of life and elevate participation with young woman who are entering the work force--all with a vigor that has come a long way since 1967.
In recent years my husband and I have spent lots more time at the beach--in Ocean City Maryland. Living in the Philadelphia area affords us great access to a wonderful city with much to do, New York, Baltimore and Washington and the beach. Though the Jersey beaches are closer, I feel more at home in Ocean City because so many people from Pittsburgh come there--and it is fun to hear the Pittsburgh accent.
Looking forward to seeing many of you and catching up on 42 years of life!!

School Story:

There are many --but one that comes to mind is thinking about Dr. Rauterkaus trying to teach us the violin with those terrible and screechy instruments and of course, we were not the most apt of students. When I think of our families laughing at one of our concerts because it simply sounded so badly, and there we were, stuffed into our borrowed prom gowns, I laugh and cringe at the same time. It gives me a complete and rich respect for people who truly can play string instruments.
