Sadly on October 12, Maureen Wdowiak Ellis passed away after a short illness. Maureen's son, Matt, adopted two children from Ghana and his childhood pediatrician/oncologist and now dear friend, Dr. Stephen Green founded a charity in 2011 called Hope for Ghana that builds schools, libraries and computer labs in remote parts of Ghana. What a fitting tribute to Maureen since she taught in the Pittsburgh School District for more than 30 years. I hope that you will consider making a donation in Maureen's memory.
