Hoping not to piss people off, but I find it ironic that Jemm is buried at Arlington Cemetery. I was close friends with Jemm after he returned from the Marines. He told me that he had enlisted in the Marines to irritate his Dad and realized when he got there that he had made a terrible mistake. This became clearer to him when he was singled out for abusive behavior for being Jewish . So, according to Jemm, he spent about 6 months faking a nervous breakdown and received a medical discharge. I think we were about 19 at the time. I always felt that he wanted to put that behind him. As I've reported before, he wrote poetry about this in his letters to me and I have no idea where I put his poems but will try to locate them before the reunion..
