22 year Reunion

Our 22 year reunion was a GREAT SUCCESS!! It started on Friday July 17, 2009 in the Lounge at the Ramada Inn. Terri (Cook) Snyder and Tanya (Schrom) Vander Bor could not make it on Saturday, so they came on Friday nigth. Myself (Tina McGhee Meade), Phil Fish, Sandy (Eley) Vallance, Terri (Cook) Snyder and Tanys (Schrom) Vander Bor had drinks in the lounge. We talked about school days and our lives since Graduation. Even though it was a small group we had a GREAT time.

We kicked the actual reunion off on Saturday July 18, 2009 in the Amtrack room of the Ramada Inn. Registration and Social hour began at 5:30 pm with dinner at 7:00pm. Dinner was wonderful the Ramada Inn did a GREAT job for us. At 8:00pm we gave away a few awards and gift cards to the person with the most children, Mary (Weber) Everline won that award with 6 children. The award for most grandchildren went to Ed Chapin, he has 5 grandchildren. The award for newly weds went to Mary (Weber) Everline, she and Scott have been married for 2 years. The award for married the longest went to Amy (Bonnell) Helton, she and Randy have been married for 22 years. The award for traveled the farthest went to Michelle (Young) Henry, she came all the way from Washington 2,500 miles. The award for traveled the least went to Ed Chapin. The award  for the female that changed the least went to Kathleen Pfeiffer. The award for male that changed the least went to Phil Fish. The award for the female that changed the most went to Amy Mohr. The award for male that changed the most went to Ed Chapin.

At 9:00pm the D.J. started the music and Lynne Millies got us all started by taking the leade on the dance floor. It wasn't long and we all fell in beside her. Lynne & Ken started doing a little fancy foot work out on the dance floor it was AWESOME. The D.J. did wonderful at playing plenty of 80's music for us. It was just like old times again. It wasn't long and we had the D.J. play our class song "Lean On Me" we were all on the dance floor in a circle singing it like we did at Graduation. It was a little hard to remember all the words after 22 years, but by the end of the song we had it down again. A little later in the night we had him play it again, we were all in a circle again with our arms around one another swaying to the music, singing it as loud as we could. Only this time we all remembered the words and we sounded like PROS....oh wait maybe it was all the alcohol that made us think we sounded so good. (haha LOL) It was a GREAT night and so much FUN for all who attended.

Later towards the end of the night Garry Bump decided to give us all a show out on the dance floor with a little bit of sexy male dancing. It wasn't long before he made his rounds and did a little dirty dancing with most of the girls left on the dance floor. Boy what FUN and LAUGHS, he sure was making Kelly (June) Gibbons face turn RED. I think he even taught her a few things because by the end of the song she had loosened up and was joining right in with him. By that time she may have even taught him a move or two. (LOL)

The music, dancing, laughs, hugs and even tears were so much FUN, it was sure worth the 22 year wait for us all to get together again. (Good thing it's only three years till the next one) Finally at 2:00am the D.J. was done and our night came to an end. With lots of promises to attend the 25 year reunion, and lots of hopes that more classmates will make it to the 25th year reunion.

I want to take this time to THANK everyone who attended the reunion. I hope that everyone who did was satisfied with all the planning and work that went into it. I am so looking forward to planning the 25th year reunion and am in hopes for it to be even bigger and better than this one was.
