Cheryl Renee (Prout)y Bakker age 70 of Holland, MI passed away on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 of complications from Dementia/Alzheimer's disease.
Cheryl was born on September 11, 1950 in Allegan, MI to Ellis and Doris (Sweet) Prouty. She graduated from Plainwell High School in 1968. She attended Kalamazoo Valley Community College and Grand Valley in Grand Rapids earning her Dental Hygientist degree.
She is survived by her sons, Aaron and Rob Bakker, sister Nancy (Prouty) Fein of Illinois; brothers Roger of Traverse City and Ron Prouty of Plainwell, her five grandchildren, Jacob, Addison, Ashlynd, Joshua and Nathan Bakker all of Holland, MI, and one great grandson Luka of Holland.
A reception will be held on Tuesday, June 15th at 5 p.m.to 8 p.m. at the Lakeshore Memorial Services on 11939 James Street, Holland, MI

RIP, Cheryl. I remember many fun PJ parties at Cheryl's house: Telling stories to try to scare the bananas out of each other; trying (vainly) to stay up all night; and then our most frightening attempt at 'making each other pass out' - when it worked on Suzanne and we couldn't wake her up.....until she finally did: Lesson learned! Great memories of an all-around great gal and a good friend! Melanie
