Joleen passed away on May 2nd, 2012. She fought valiantly against her Acute Myle. Leukemia. Joleen Marie Orr, born August 14, 1953, passed away May 2, 2012 from complications due to leukemia. She was born in Covina, Ca. to Willis & Maureen Clinton. She was the beloved wife of Jay David Orr. Jay & Joleen were married in 2000, and sealed for all eternity on June 1, 2002 in the San Diego LDS Temple.


Joleen attended Pomona High School, graduating from high school in 1971. She was a devoted member of the LDS church, and held many church positions throughout her life. The most recent being Primary President of the Mt Pleasant 4th Ward, Mt Pleasant Utah. She served as an ordinance worker in the Redlands, Ca. Temple from 2003-2008, and in the Manti, Utah Temple from 2008 until her death. She served as a ward missionary for 6 years with her companion Jay in Yucaipa, Ca. She touched many lives in all of her callings. Joleen and Jay moved to Mt Pleasant 4 years ago. 
 

Joleen was known for her artistic abilities, sewing & decorating her and her friends homes. She was an accomplished violinist & in her later years a pianist. She had a lovely voice, and she made beautiful music with Jay in choirs wherever they lived. In fact, Joleen & Jay met in choir at Crafton Hills College in California. 
 

Joleen is the mother of 7 children: Michael (Marna) Johnson, Michele Frisbee, Abinidi (Deana) Johnson, Luke Johnson, Therese (Nick) Maksimuk, Andrew (Kasondra) Johnson, CJ (Clinton Joseph) (Katie) Johnson, all residing in California. And 18 grandchildren: Ella, Sean, Tyler, Thaylia, Eric, Joseph, Benjamin, Isabella, Marylisa, Phoebe, August, Paul, Albin, Cody, Beth, Emma, Suraya, & Liam. 
 

Joleen was predeceased by her father--former Pomona Fire Dept. Willis Clinton, and is survived by her mother Maureen Clinton of Pomona, Ca, Eternal Companion Jay Orr of Mt Pleasant, sisters Devonne (Carl) Amos of Arizona, Lorraine (Ralph) England of California, brother Henry (Kelly) Clinton of Springville Utah, uncle Leonard (Bernadine) Clinton of Texas, 7 children, 19 grandchildren, 63 nieces & nephews, and many cousins & friends. 
 

She was loved and will be missed by all who knew her. We will remember her smile always. The world lost a bright shining star, and Heaven gained a lovely and beautiful spirit. 
 

Funeral services are to be held Saturday May 5, 2012 at the Mt Pleasant 4th ward chapel (Red Building 49 S. State) at 1:00 PM. A viewing will be held at the chapel at 11:30AM.
