John was my uncle's stepson. He was employed by my dad "Bob's Concrete Breaking & Sawing" out of our Livermore, CA home. My dad used to joke, "I taught him everything I know & he still doesn't know anything." He was a hard worker & Dad's biggest customer often requested John specifically. I remember falling off a fence once & crying when I was around 4. John & my dad were in front of the house & John made it to me before my dad did. My friend's older sister said he was getting out of the truck in front of the house one day & saw some boys taunting her. He scared the daylights out of those boys. She always remembered that. He was killed in terrible wreck in one of dad's trucks after hours. His son "Little John" was only 5 when he lost his dad.
