In Memory

Robin Elizabeth Farnham (Joseph)

Robin Elizabeth Farnham (Joseph)

We learned from Robin & Dee's daughter that Robin died of lung cancer in 2018 and Dee suffered a debiliatating stroke in 2016.

She provided us with the following information.

That being said I wanted to share with you some news about Robin. In the beginning of February, an x-ray revealed that she had active and advanced tumors in the upper left lobe of her lungs. Further tests revealed metastasis to her liver, spine, bones, and most recently to the choroid area behind her eyes. Her formal diagnosis is Stage IV Adenocarcinoma of the lungs.

Hi Jane, Robin passed away in 2018 and Dee had a debilitating stroke a few years back so likely won't be able to travel. However, I'd be more than happy to pass along the info to him. My email is sarahhasselberg@gmail.com. Thanks for reaching out.

Thanks for your kind words. She passed 7/23/2018 from lung cancer. Quite a surprise for everyone considering her avid self-conscious lifestyle. We didn't run a formal obituary, but I'll paste the opening from her celebration of life service for you below. Unfortunately Dee isn't able to use a computer for cognitive and physical reasons. I'm sure he'll be happy to hear you reached out though!

Thank you all for coming today to celebrate the life of Robin Joseph.
It’s difficult to put into words the thoughts and emotions that we’ve all felt these last
weeks and months. A mere summary of Robin’s life does not seem adequate nor
something she would have found meaningful. However, all of us here together honoring
her memory and sharing as fully and deeply as possible would have set her soul alight.
Each of you knew Robin in a different way and from various parts of her life journey.
Some from her childhood in Southern California, from time on Maui, through her
relationship with Dee, from college days at Sonoma State, through raising babies together
in Petaluma, from training at Barbara Brennan School of Healing, through studying at A
Society of Souls, through the Waldorf school community, from Authentic Movement,
singing with Threshold Choir, by way of the Gangaji community, from working at
California State Parks, through her many world travels, or one of the various other
communities she was a part of during different eras of her life.
Robin wasn’t particularly interested in living her life with set goals or as a series of
events to be accomplished. Her calling was truly in connecting with others heart-to-heart,
diving deep into the spiritual realm, and seeking fun and adventure in the world around
her.
