ROGENE WALKER NIXON OBITUARY
RANCHO CUCAMONGA -- Rogene Ann Nixon, 50, of Rancho Cucamonga died Jan. 26, 2003, at Linda Valley Care Center, Loma Linda. She was born May 23, 1952, in Canton, Ill., and lived in Pomona, Upland, and Rancho Cucamonga for 43 years. She worked in various nursing and clerical jobs for 10 years and for the Los Angeles County Office of Education for five years, retiring in 1990. She was a member of San Antonio Community Church, Upland. Her hobbies were knitting, writing poems and singing. She is survived by a daughter, Rebecca Ann Nixon; son and daughter-in-law, Jacob Marvin and Torre M. Nixon; her mother, Sue Ellyn Walker; two sisters, Kathryn Bowers of San Jose and Evelyn Mollet of Ontario; two brothers, Paul Walker of Upland and Kirk Walker of Ontario; and grandchildren, Torre, Teylor, Jacob Jr., Jordan and Teven Nixon. Services were held at 10 a.m. Jan. 30 at Stone Funeral Home, Upland. Interment in Oak Park Cemetery, Claremont. Stone Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
