AIMS & OBJECTIVES OF FEDERAL GOVERNMENT COLLEGE, PORT HARCOURT

  As the crest of the college implies, PRO-UNITATE (for Unity) is the primary aim and    objective of the founders of the 'Unity Colleges' as all Federal Government Colleges are  now popularly referred to. In broader terms the aims and objectives of the college  include:

• To serve as reference point for academic excellence
• To propagate national unity by bringing children from all states of the federation to live and grow up together at a tender age with a view to making them understand and accept each other
• To serve as demonstration school for curriculum and education policies
• To provide equal opportunity for the children of the poor and those of the rich in the society to quality education of national consciousness
• To expose the children to know and appreciate the diversity of the country

GOALS OF FGCPH80

1. To support all the aims and objectives of our Alma Mater
2. To have regular communication via social media and the class website
3. To participate in all activities of the Old Students Association
4. To organise formal and informal reunion activities especially the 40th, 50th & 60th anniversaries of starting and graduating from school
5. To contribute meaningfully to the development of our school as a Class as well as join in conjunction with other year groups
6. To support each other and participate in marking our individual milestones.
7. To pass on the baton of friendship to our offspring.
