NEWS FROM THE COLLEGE OF HEALTH SCIENCES

Our beloved College had its 3rd College Research Day today (25th January 2011). The crème de la crème were all in attendance. The VC - Prof Joseph Ajienka was the chair. Prof ND Briggs was there too. In his words.... "I am so amazed that the College has grown this big. I am impressed with level of research activities going on in the College". Over 52 papers were presented from various Departments of the College. Over 65% of the papers read were from graduates of the College.

It is worth noting that the UNIPORT Medical School came out as 1st and 3rd positions during the recently concluded All Nigerian Universities Research Fair. The Prof Didia's Anatomy Model took the overall first position while the inventions of Drs Fyneface-Ogan et al and Prof J Adotey et al  took the overall 3rd positions.

We are indeed grateful to God that our College is in the fore-front of research in Nigeria, Africa.
