It's time to look forward to our 20-year reunion. This year we will be celebrating with a 2-Day extravaganza of entertainment.

For those of you that can join us on Friday, August 28th, we will be heading to our old stomping grounds...McCamley Field to cheer on the Mustangs to a victory over Kalamazoo Central. We will have a tent near the entrance of the field where you can meet up with other grads. We will also have a portion of the stands reserved just for us, so bring the kids and show them the old Mustang spirit! Afterwards, get the kids home and comfy with the babysitter and meet us out for drinks and munchies at Wings, Etc. and Main Street Pub. It will be an informal night that will prep you for our official reunion day, which is Saturday. (Tickets to the game and drinks/munchies on Friday night will be left to the individual, couple or family to cover themselves. All payment for the reunion only covers the Saturday activities.)

On Saturday, August 29th, we are having a "family day" at Lakeview Park on Austin Lake . Bring your blanket, lawn chairs, and lunch or just come and play with your kids in the afternoon. Your reunion committee members and their kids will be at the park from 12:00-3:00 so come out and enjoy an afternoon with old friends and their kids.

On Saturday evening we are having our official reunion party! Come join us at 6:00 in the newly refurbished ballroom of the Holiday Inn West and have a wonderful evening complete with dinner, drinks, music and fun with old friends. The price for the reunion party is $50 for an individual and $100 for a couple, but the memories that come with spending an evening with old friends are priceless! Make sure to buy your tickets by August 1st.

If you are traveling from out of town and need a place to stay, we have been given a price break on rooms at the Holiday Inn West. You can call 269-375-6000 and rent a room for $99 (down from their regular rates of $129-$139) by mentioning that you are with the Portage Central Class of 1989 Reunion. The hotel has a pool and is connected to "Burdicks" bar so you have that as a place to go before or after the reunion.

If you are traveling into town and are bringing your kids but need babysitting, there are online babysitting services that you can access to find a local sitter in Kalamazoo/Portage. Visit www.sittercity.com and enter 49024 in the zip code space and from there enter your sitter preferences. This service is completely separate from the reunion committee. Any arrangements you make are not legally binding to the PCHS 20-Year Reunion or it's planning committee members.
