Xavier was a kind and outgoing person who made friends very easily. I went to grade school with Xavier from 1st through 8th (Madeleine) in ne portland and he was raised by his grandparents who were some of the nicest people I have ever come across. Throughout all of gradeschool and high school, I can say that I never saw him get angry or be mean/ negative to others. He was a very gentle person for being such a big young man. Xavier was friends with other fellow Madeleine and CCHS alumni like Charlie O'Connell, Brad O'Donnell, Natalie Pino Mesa, Missy Mack (also deceased), Alice Marks, myself and others. Xavier died last year of unknown causes and I am unsure of the whereabouts of his remaining family members. Xavier lost touch with most of his gradeschool and high school friends after leaving Central, but he will always be remembered for his kind hearted nature and positive energy.
I was very sad to read Xavier's obituary. I couldn't believe such a young guy whom I remember had so much enthusiasm for everyone he met and everything he did had left this life so early. I have memories of Xavier from 1st grade at Madeleine all the way through Central and just hope that he knows he is missed. He was a really good guy with a smile for everyone.
