PRESQUE ISLE: Deren W. Devoe, age 53, unexpectedly went home to be with Jesus on January 5, 2024 in Caribou. He was born February 10, 1970 in Presque Isle to Donald Sr. and Donna Devoe. He married his wife Kristy Devoe on December 13, 2003. Deren and Kristy then moved to Georgia for ten years before eventually returning home to Maine. He was a hard worker who worked full time as a delivery driver for Flower Bread Co. and he also put in many years as a meat cutter. Even though Deren was a busy man, he always made time for his family, friends, and complete strangers who were in need by bringing much food, water, and supplies. He was self-less, God fearing man who showed the love of Jesus to anyone he met. He is survived by his wife of 20 years Kristy (Hansen) Devoe, his parents Donald Sr. and Donna Devoe, his children; Katie Devoe and significant other Justin Faulkner, Jeff Devoe, Jaime Howe and her significant other Josh Belmain, Mark Howe, Meghan Swancey and her husband Dakota, Amanda Williams and her husband Michael, 13 grandchildren Charlie, Colie, Marley, Kelsey, Kolton, Harper, Gunnar, Madelynn, Brinley, Annalise, Presley, Emersyn, and Caisen, his brothers; Donald Jr. and Elizabeth Devoe and their children Kyle Williams, Donald Devoe III, Bethany and Manny, David Devoe and Lisa Gilbert and their son Daniel, his aunt Linda, aunt Hazie, his uncle Wayne and many other cousins, family and friends. A memorial service will be held Saturday January 13, 2024 at 1PM at the Church of Jesus Chapman Street Presque Isle. Arrangements have been entrusted to Bowers Funeral Home.
