Golf anyone? On Friday July 23, 2009 the Reunion Committee has set up a "tee time" for anyone interested in playing a round of golf. The tee time is set from 4pm to 5pm to give the travelers a chance to participate. Your cost is $19.00 with a cart or $13.00 without the cart. Following will be a Meet and Greet Social where we can all get together for drinks, jokes and a whole lot of pretentiousness, so bring your own shovel. Your cost for the Social will be directly associated with the amount of sparkling beverage consumed. Cheers, Wade

Todd Winder Thanks to all you guys/gals who have put this site together and who are trying hard to keep the reunions going. I haven't made it to one since our 10 year. There always seems to be a conflict and this year is no different. I can't believe it has been thirty years. Time flies when you are having fun.

I respectfully appreciate the 'In Memory' section of this web-site honoring our class-mates that have passed on. (THANKS WADE !)

It is kind of a harsh reality to think that as the rest of us are fast approaching 50; some of our friends didn't live past their 20's or 30's. They will be 'forever young'. I (We) miss them; would love to sit and visit with them . . .BUT; . . .instead we can only recall the experiences, their smiles and laughter.

I hope if any of us run into their families, we can let them know of the good memories and that their loved one is NOT forgotten.

During the reunion take a minute to think of them, drink a toast to their memory and reminisce about them.

I just received this letter from Carbon County Recreation (435) 636-3702:

June 3, 2010

To Whom It May Concern:

Carbon County Recreation is hosting a benefit golf tournament on Saturday June 26 at 1:30 pm. All municipality employees of Carbon County, Price City, Helper City, Wellington City, East Carbon City and Sunnyside City will comprise the tournament field.

All proceeds from this golf tournament will go to benefit the Ballard family. As a business owner in our community we are asking for your help. Donations can be made to Carbon County Recreation, c/o the Mike Ballard Golf tournament. Any donation will be greatly appreciated no matter how big or how small. We are also looking for prizes to raffle if you would like to make a donation of that manner.

Mike was the victim of a tragic accident, slipping on the ice and falling, in February. He suffered major head trauma and is currently in a special rehab center, in Provo. He has yet made any major improvements and medical bills alone are overwhelming.
Any help that you may lend to this worthy cause will be greatly appreciated. We look forward to hearing from you. Remember any donation will help make this a success. For more information you can contact Carbon County Recreation at 636-3702 or Rose Barnes at 636-3290.
