Wreckage of a small light-colored Cessna 172 with three people aboard, including a former Carbon County resident was found Monday in Kolob Canyon in Zion Park following a massive ground and air search. There were no survivors. Aboard were Michele Keller 26, daughter of Judge Paul C. and Flora Keller, the pilot Brad Woolsey, 24 and Glen Campbell 23. All three were from the Phoenix area. The plane wreckage was sighted at 1:49 pm. Members of the Washington County Rescue Team ground crew reached the site at 3:00pm. The three victims were still inside the plane which had burned. There was heavy cloud cover in the area at the time the plane disappeared from radar about 8:pm Friday. The plane apparently went down soon after radar contact was lost during a flight from Prescott, Ariz, to Rexburg, Idaho. The storm and low cloud cover hampered searchers Saturday. Michele had been working during the past several months for Archer National Life Insurance Co. in Phoenix. She is a former employee of Zions First National Bank in Price. She attended local schools and graduated form College of Eastern Utah with an associate degree in 1981. She later graduated from Utah State University. She worked for a short time in Taiwan as an English teacher.

Michelle was a great person who loved life. A super freind who always had a smile. The good ones seem to leave us way too soon.

I remember seeing Michele on graduation day at Utah State in 1985. She was waiting in the line, just before it started, all of us dressed in our graduation garb, and she called out "Bob!" as I walked past trying to find my place in line. She had a big smile and we talked for a little while... I didn't know she lived in Arizona too!
