Wayne was working in the 8th North Continuous Mining section as a roofbolter when a roof fall accrued. I was working in the same section of the mine at the time but was on the opposite shift as Wayne and his crew. Because of Wayne the mine was restored to a full bolting plan to make that mine a better, safer place to work. Although we lost a classmate and he paid the ultimate sacrifice, he also made a difference, making this world a better place than he left it. Heaven shine on you now those days underground, in hell are through.
