After graduation I worked in Japan for a few months, then served a mission to Fresno, CA. Afterwards I attended Ricks College (BYU Idaho) and served as Student-body President. I married Elizabeth Lowe in 1993...we just celebrated 26 years together. I transferred to BYU Provo and studied accounting, also serving as Student-body President again (glutton for punishment apparently). I moved to California and worked for a couple of years and was accepted to Harvard Business School. I graduated in 2002 and founded Montigen Pharmaceuticals, a developer of small molecule therapeutics for cancer and other serious human diseases, where I served as Chairman, President, and CEO. I sold Montigen in 2006 to Supergen (Nasdaq: SUPG, now ASTX) and stayed with the company for a few months to help manage the integration. In 2011 I founded Tolero Pharmaceuticals, again a developer of cancer therapeutics, and again serving as Chairman and President. Tolero was acquired in 2017 by Dainippon Sumitomo, a large Japanese-based Pharmaceutical firm. I again stayed for a few months and retired in the fall of 2017. I've been enjoying catching my breath and spending time with family for the past couple of years. I'm currently working on a few personal projects, reading the classics and all the books I always wanted to read (I read 54 Great Works in 2018) and occasionally working on my golf game. I'm not sure what I'll be doing in the future, even next year, but I am excited to experience what unfolds ahead.
