Here's something for those traveling from out of town and looking to stay in a hotel. Rumor has it that Va Tech will be playing at home that weekend so hotel rooms will fill up fast as we get closer to the date.

I want to thank each classmate who has been on the planning committee for the reunion. Thanks for all of the time you have willingly given to prepare for the various events. I'm sure it will be a great success! Unfortunately, I am not going to be able to attend. I orginally signed up to attend knowing I would have to leave on Saturday afternoon to return home for a prior commitment on Sunday. Just recently I found out my daughter's senior homecoming and other related events are also on the weekend of the reunion. Because of the conflict, I will not be attending the reunion. I hope those of you who attend enjoy a great weekend making wonderful memories.

Update on TailGate and Reunion Dance

Hello Everyone,

Well we are just about a week away from this Great Event and it continues to grow and get better on a daily basis. Many have asked about the schedule of events for the tailgate and game and we have some additional "Good to Know" information for Saturday night.

Wendell Jones will be at the school on Friday at 4 PM to get the tailgate started. It is his plan to park in or around the old drivers ed tower in a Silver Ford Expedition license plate "TEE1UP". He will have some tables and a start up of finger foods and drinks to get the party started. I have been told through the grapevine that one of our fellow classmates is providing a banner that will also be displyed to indicate where we are at, thanks Tim. So feel free to come anytime after that and bring whatever you want to contribute to the party. Remember, No Alcoholic beverages allowed on school property.

Once the stadium opens up we will then be able to enter and rope off us a section for everyone to sit in for the game.

For Saturday night the activities will get under way at 6PM at the Pulaski Country Club. We will have a DJ for the evening spinning all of the great tunes we grew up with in the 70's. There will have a massive selection of Heavy Hor'Dourvs with tea and coffee. A bar will be open to sell beer and provide setups. The country club does not have a liquor license but we have been told that you can BYOB if you choose.

Gina Anderson has located the photographer that did the reunion for the Class of 78 and she has agreeded to come and take pictures throughout the night. You may then be able to purchase from her 8 x 10 photos for $15. All of this will be handled between individual classmates and the photographer.

Golfers will be teeing off on Saturday morning, all non-golfers are welcomed to gather at the Country Club on Saturday for an informal lunch time social. There is a snack bar there to purchase food and beverage.

That is all I can think of for now. As we get more information we will update this site so check back frequently for any new information.

Confirmed with photographer today. We are all set. She hopes to take group shot around 7. It is $15 per picture payable that night. She will also take candids through out the evening to be put on a disc. That will be $15 if you purchase the group shot.
