Linda H. Youngworth (McSweeney)

Linda H. McSweeney, 63 years of age, passed away at the Waterman Hospital in Tavares, FL on May 24, 2010. Linda was raised in Quincy and graduated from North Quincy High School with the Class of 1964 and from Fisher Junior College in Boston. Linda was married for forty three years to John T. McSweeney and traveled with her husband to Central and South America. His assignments with Citibank took them to Bogota, Columbia , New Jersey, Maryland, South Florida, Missouri, and finally Eustis, Florida, where she and her husband retired in 2000. She is survived by her loving husband, John T. McSweeney, and her children Jonathan McSweeney, Susan McSweeney and Jennifer McSweeney all of Florida. She was the mother of the late Christopher McSweeney. She is the grandmother of Alicia, Bart, Shelby, and Lilly all of Florida. She is the loving sister of Mary Damis of Braintree, Joseph Youngworth married to Lois of Braintree, Jane Carosi of Quincy, and Ellen Hurley married to James of Florida and Maine. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Carol McSweeney, and many nieces and nephews.

Virginia Garland

Linda was another "Squantum girl," who was so pretty and friendly. She was active in the Squantum congregational church youth group.  I remember when she was on the 4th of July "Dogpatch" float with me when I won the role of "Daisy Mae," but she was the real blonde bombshell!
