Comments:

I graduated from the University of Wisconsinin Madsion in June of 1968 with a B.A. in Social Work
and I loved the university. I was a social worker for the Racine County Department of Social Services. Years later I moved to Lisle, Illinois and lived at Four Lakes Village while working in the
financial field for Frito Lay in Elmhurst. I continued my education by taking an accounting class in Wheaton, Illinois and there I met Lyle. We were engaged and married at Christ Church United Methodist in Racine on January 15th, 1972.
We love to travel but most of our experiences have been in the United States. We were at the Rose Bowl Game in Pasendena when Wisconsin won in 1994. Many trips to Florida,Tennessee, and the East coast with one trip tp Hawaii. The best trip ever was to Paris, France. Absolutely fell in love with France and the people. We are anxious to return and see more.
My husband was educated in Illinois and taught at St. Joes in Kenosha before teaching in the Racine Unified School System. Most of his career was at Gilmore Middle School but the last 6 years he taught Social Studies. U.S. History, African-American Studies, and Sociology at our alma mater - Washington Park High School.......Lyle
was involved with Youth Sports in particular Old Timer's Football for about 30 years. He stepped down as Director due to health issues.
Now its Grandkids, Grandkids, Grandkids. and
church activities. I still have some great memories of Park. I loved the Park-Horlick games but not all the homework we had. My favorite subject was French. I worked in the Foreign Language Lab and on the Beacon and many YWCA dances. I helped with props for plays and prompting. I think my favorite teachers were Mr. Stuart and Mr. Mittag,
Miss Perlmutter and Mrs. Laub. I remember hearing about the J.F.K. assassination in Mrs. Laub's class. I was a HUGE fan of the Beatle's music and always enjoyed dancing even though I wasn't very good at it. I'm happy substituting in jobs I like especially at Mitchell Elementary School
because that's where my daughter is a teacher now. I cherish any free time Lyle and I get when the two of us can do things together. I'm looking forward to our next reunion in 5 years... GO PANTHERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
