Comments:

For the first oooooh whole bunch of years, I was a full time wife and mother. Raising both our boys and ultra involved in PTO and as a room mother and all that kind of stuff. I volunteered as a Cub Scout Leader for 11 years, both of my sons are Eagle Scouts btw, and have continued to work with the children and youth at church.
In 2000, I went to work seasonally for H&R Block as a Client Services Coordinator ( a little fancier way of saying receptionist :0 ) I got to work with Kristi Bobo Chambers for one season before taking the full time job I now hold. (But I still see her once a year when she does our taxes, how's that for a plug Kristi? :) )
Currently, I am an Administrative Assistant to a gentleman based in Henagar, who has diverse business holdings, I do a little bit of everything from book keeping to locating parts to making appointments to shipping packages to running errands to generally keeping his life organized.
I am a little ahead of most of you in the empty nest department, but probably on the same page as many with the parents getting older and needing some help category and unfortunately will never catch up with some of you in the grand kids arena. (Both my boys say they do not plan to have children, things could always change, we shall see!)

School Story:

So many memories; from elementary school, playing on the playground and the smell of chalk, crayons and play-doh, almost all of Ms. Gregory's first grade class getting paddled when Glenn Jones talked us all into going out under the big trees out front to play tag. Getting to fifth grade and getting to change classes, playing Jacks and/or "Author's" at the big spool tables in Mrs. Daniel's room, tripping Jerry Willis in sixth grade and getting Mrs. Etherton's magic number 7! Junior high and having lockers for the first time, and always afraid I would forget where mine was (I STILL have that recurring nightmare for some reason, I never did forget?!?!), passing notes in class. In High School, after school and Thursday night band practices, being in the band and the competitions and football games, the dances after home ball games, riding around in Rainsville on the weekends, going to basketball games in the Collesium, Toll House chocolate chip cookies for lunch, the senior play, great friends and good times....
