It is sad that I am just now finding out about this, but it shows how folks lose track after the years.

Mike and I were really good friends at Daniels Middle. We were of only a handful of students that took German. I used to go to his house to play Dungons and Drangons. When we got to Broughton we still had German together. We were part of the "Goon Squad" which I laugh about now as one of those feeble attempts to be cool by being strange. Just thinking about all of that makes me laugh, and Mike was responsible. Wearing trench coats, flannel shirts, and combat boots to school, fake earrings...LOL! Like that character in Breakfast Club. Oh man, what a time.

Damn shame you're gone Mike. Damn shame.
