Linda and I became friends on the first day of school at Morson. My grandmother's best friend lived at Halifax and I visited the Courts often. Linda was sweet, witty, and funny. She was one of the happiest people I ever knew and we laughed about living on the "wrong" side of town!
Linda and I were friends at Aycock and spent a lot of time at each other's house. We would be the Supremes and sing our little hearts out. Things changed as we got older, but I do remeber her sense of humor. Happy to see your post.
Bobbie, I remember how much Linda hated her beautiful curly hair, which she felt she had to keep short or it was toocurly and unruly!!!! What I would have given for some of those curls. She did like to sing the old songs and I can just see her, bows in her hair, being a Supreme. with light freckles. She was so cute. What a beautiful, sweet spirit.
