Welcome to the DAV Jawahar Vidya Mandir Class of 1982-84 web site.
Reinforcing alumni linkages is relatively new for the DAVJVM Ranchi 1982-84 batch and we are still on a learning curve for the same. Whatsapp has been wonderful and thanks to Amit, Rajesh and Sudhanshu for having created the group.
2009 was a truly eventful year for a majority of us. The first ever reunion was organized in the month of December, where we had 20 plus members participate, majority of them with their families.
We intend to follow this up with another one this year - 2015, in December with a meet planned in Mumbai, India.
The present vision at DAVJVM Ranchi 1982-84 batch is to create awareness and forge stronger bonds with alumni and friends. However, the road ahead is long wherein we have to address the critical area of improving the alumni database through an active program of reaching out to the dormant and inactive members. We need to sensitize them towards networking and building alumni relations, and seek active participation.
The response from the alumni has been very encouraging so far. The alumni data base is being updated and we hope to achieve a penetration of approximately 30% by the year end.
Efforts will need to be put in by all and sundry to maintain, nurture and sustain alumni relationships in the long term.
