I wasn't that close to Jason in school but remember very vividly where I was when they told us that Jason had passed away.
Jason was in my art class and I recall one day learning that he had passed away. I think this was my first experience with someone who had passed away from cancer.
This has always stuck with me to this day. I think Jason would be proud of all the work I have done with kids and cancer...as I volunteer at a camp for kids with cancer.
