Any teachers you liked? Disliked?

My personal favorite was Mr. Zuber, he was popular with everybody. Down to earth and could tell a good joke now and then.

Yes Pat. I discovered this website that does websites for high school classes. I've often wondered why we don't have one so I decided to spearhead it. This is probably the closest I'll come to becoming a father because this idea is definitely "my baby." lol

Jon, it looks like more people are joining the site and I am appreciate all your time and effort to make this happen. Glad to see some familiar names popping up. I heard Pat was working with the ambulance service for a while, but did not realize he's now a chiropractor in MN. Good for you Pat! Great to see some other names like Ann, Mona, & Jim. Can't say that mine and Chris's path crossed much, but if he's the police chief, I hope our meetings are social and not professional.

I don't get much time to check the site regularly, as work, home, & kids keep me hopping, but I am excited to see more and more friendly faces from the past coming back.

Rich,

I'm glad you like the site also. I got an acknowledgemnt from Holy Name's Alumni Assoc. They're going to put notice in the next newsletter. Once that happens, I think this site will really come alive. I'm grateful to everyone that's joined already.

Jonathan,

Thank you for the website. Pat Suglia told me about it. He saw my profile on another program, and since then I have also reunited with Vinny Fonte. I have not been to any of the reunions, so please let me know when the next one is as I would like to attend. I'm sorry to see the loss of several classmates. Alan was the one I was closest with. Thanks again for the site - its cool.

Ann

Your welcome, Anna. It is really a good feeling that people are getting together. Although our paths didn't cross a great deal while in high school, I now feel that I've known you all my life.

Could anybody share anything about family traditions at Xmas? Does your family do anything that's remained a tradition year after year?

I don't know why I thought of this, but last night on the way to work, I was thinking of all the great skating parties my grade school had at Jr. Skateaway in Shillington. Anybody else have any stimulating conversation about growing up in Reading? Those were such great memories.

Anybody remember a class trip at the end of Freshman year to Hershey? How about the old Macbeth movie we watched in Mrs. Achenbach's English class?

Reading on the news this morning that 77 people died in that Spanish train crash.  Terrible.

I just want to wish everyone an optimistically Great New Year for 2014!

Is anyone as amazed as I am that we are in this year?

Wasn't it just yesterday the nuns were having us kneel down to measure the length of our uniforms?

Jonathan--

I was being nostalgic this morning and flipping through the HN page. I did not realize you are also a Duquesne University alumni! So, we are fellow alums twice. I graduated from Duquesne in 1978--before you got there.  We live in Florida now so I do not get back to the "Bluff" often-- every once in awhile for a Pirates game.

Yes Mary Anne,

I graduated in '85 from Duquesne.  I was last on the bBluff about a year ago and also I saw a Pirate game on the same occassion.

Attention CLASS of '71!
A few of us put our heads together and decided to have an informal last minute get together for drinks at the Beverly Hills Tavern on October 22nd at 2pm. We made this decision a few weeks ago and have been trying to get ahold of as many classmates as possible. I'm not sure if this will make it to anyone, but I thought it worth a try.
If you have any questions please leave me a note on here and I will check this site daily.
Hope to see you there!
