Beverly L. (Wirth) Barto 
 

Beverly L. "Bevie" (Wirth), Barto, 60, Flying Hills, passed away T h u r s d a y , May 20, 2010, at Reading H o s p i t a l , where she was a patient since Saturday. Beverly fought a brave and courageous battle against her cancer for six years and the paralysis caused by one of her treatments for the last year.

 

 In addition to her husband, she is survived by her twin sisters: Lana (Wirth) Horrigan, West Lawn; and Linda (Wirth) Jablonski, Reading; a sister, Carol (Wirth) Stasek, Reading; and a brother, Larry Wirth, Mechanicsburg.

 

 There are also five nieces and nephews as well as three grandnephews, including her godson, Luke.

 

 In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a niece, Heather Horrigan.

 

 A memorial service will take place Wednesday at 8 p.m. at Bean Funeral Homes, 3825 Penn Ave., Sinking Spring, with the Rev. Barry L. Galley officiating. Burial will be at Gethsemane Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Friends will be re

 Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Wirth and Julia (Gorcufsky) Wirth She was the wife of Forrest W. "Kip" Barto.  She was a 1967 graduate of Holy Name High School and also attended the Antonelli Medical and Professional Institute in Pottstown, where she received certification as a medical assistant. She worked for the former General Public Utilities for 17 years and last worked as a medical assistant for Muhlenberg Medical Associates until her illness forced her to retire in 2008. She was an avid reader, reading everything in sight, and loved making beautiful
