Neal L. Schrum, 64, of Spring Twp., passed away April 29, 2012 in St. Joseph Medical Center where he was a patient since April 13. He was the husband of Susanne C. (Greth) Schrum. Born in West Reading on August 27, 1947, he was the son of Cecilia S. (Iwanowski) Schrum of Hyde Park and the late Leon E. Schrum. Neal was a 1965 graduate of Holy Name High School and worked for more than 30 years as a Lab Technician at Atofino Chemicals. Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Rodney A. Schrum, at home; a daughter, Kimberly S. (Schrum) Landis, of Newmanstown; two grandchildren Tatum N. Landis and Kaiya R. Landis; two brothers, Gregory M. Schrum, husband of Judy Schrum, of Lingelstown, and Michael F. Schrum, husband of Patricia A. Schrum, of Wernersville; a sister, Marjorie E. (Schrum) Stevelton, of Muhlenberg Twp.; several nieces and nephews; a God Child, Zachary M. Schrum, and his beloved dog, Stella. Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life Service on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Toscani Restaurant.
