Joan M. (Greenwood) VanTiggelen Joan M. (Greenwood) VanTiggelen, 58, of Bernville, passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2021, at her home. She was the wife of Douglas VanTiggelen. Born in Sacramento, California she was the daughter of Ronald H. Greenwood and Yvonne A. (Usher) Greenwood, Wyomissing. She graduated from Holy Name High School and Penn State University with a B.S and M.S. degrees and earned her D.V.M. from the University of Tennessee. She was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola R.C.C. Dr. Greenwood served her community through her practice, Blue Marsh Veterinary clinic for over 25 years. In addition to her husband and parents, Joan is survived by her loving children Alan and Vanessa, siblings Shawn, Corale, Dennis, Mark, Ann Marie, and Jaime. She had many nieces and nephews, and was pre-deceased by her sister Pam. She loved and was devoted to her family and friends, and her medical practice. Her candor, intelligence, and sense of humor will be greatly missed. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at 10:30 am at St. Ignatius Loyola Church, 2600 St Albans Drive, Reading, PA 19609. Internment will be private at Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale, PA. Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
