James Muller - Class Of 1981

James Muller

James Muller

James "Jim" Stephen Muller, 46, president and owner of Advanced Powder Coat

ings, Intec APC, Denver, Pa., began his life on New Year's Day 1964.

In the early hours of March 14, 2010, he left from his home to be with God, following a heroic battle.

He leaves behind a loving wife, Carol; children, Garrett and Delaney; daughter-in-law, Noemi; grandchildren, Dominick James and Alyssa Samantha; sisters, Renee, widow of Karl Krummenoehl, and Nancy O'Donnel; and nieces and nephews: Joshua, Arwen, Kara, Brendan, Kealan and Liam.

Born in Reading, he was a son of Teresa (Fath) Muller and the late Jacob S. Muller.

Jim was an accomplished engineer in the field of powder coating, wholly respected by his peers and business associates for his expertise in powder coating manufacture and execution. He was proud to consider it his life's work.

Jim was a 1981 Holy Name graduate and an alumnus of Penn State, earning a bachelor of science degree in 1985. He was also a lifetime member of the Penn State Alumni Association.

He was an avid Penn State football fan, a skier, a passionate golfer and boater. He also enjoyed fishing and Jimmy Buffett music, and was a certified scuba diver.

Those who knew Jim knew him as an outgoing lover of life and the outdoors, and as a devoted family man.

Loving to socialize, he was a member of the Gouglersville Fire Company, the Lincoln Park Fire Company and the Adamstown Rod and Gun Club.

He and his wife shared a love of travel to the Caribbean, where they had married and honeymooned. He was blessed with many friends and cherished by many family members, who will remain surrounded by his love today and forever.

Jim leaves us with the prayer that brought him peace as he courageously fought his terminal disease: "God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things that I can, and the wisdom to know the difference." Jim Muller - missed and loved, now and always.

A viewing will be held Thursday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. A time for sharing will be held Friday from 11 a.m. until noon in the funeral home. James McTish (1981)

..............Fellow classmates and friends of Jim Muller, I am sorry to convey this message of Jim's passing on the night of Saturday, March 13, 2010. Roughly 1 month ago, Jim was diagnosed with liver cancer. As many of you know, Jim and I met at Holy Name High School and then we both went onto Penn State Berks, then University Park. He had majored in Geology and I in Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering. We coordinated many of our classes at Penn State, Math, Chemistry, Physics, Geology, Gym, and of all things Art. Upon graduation Jim went and worked in his father's Powder Coating business and ran the company up until his passing last night. I was his best man and over many years of friendship, Jim and I often went salt and fresh water fishing, hiking and camping. I wish Jim's wife Carol and children Jared and Delaney an understanding of God's Love at this difficult time and that when the time is right we will all see Jim again.
Love, Peace and Prayers, Jim McTish.............................

I must say I have not seen Jim in years, last time might have been the 10th reunion but I am sorry to hear of his passing. With facebook and this site, old friendships are being remeber and started again. I remember times fishing with him in High School and times we had in Mr Zuber's class. I offer prayers for him and his family and will always remember the good times from our younger days

Rest In Peace with God , Jim
