Robert Edmund "Bobby" VanGoethem, 41, of Maidencreek Township, passed away March 1, 2018. He was the husband of Katelyn Suzanne (Wright) VanGoethem. Born August 20, 1976, in Reading, he was a son of Linda S. (Graeff), wife of Timothy Michael, of Muhlenberg Township, and Donald J., husband of Marsha VanGoethem, of Muhlenberg Township. Bobby was a graduate of Holy Name High School. He was employed with Deka for 10 years. A loving family man, Bobby was a wonderful father to his daughter, Ava Paige VanGoethem, (10 years old). Also surviving are his five siblings: Jill, wife of Scott DeLong, of Fleetwood;, Kelly Michael, of Pottstown; Scott Michael, of Reading; Bradley VanGoethem, of Reading; and Shawn, husband of Nadine VanGoethem, of North Carolina. Other survivors include his maternal grandmother, Mary Graeff, of Shillington; and several nieces and nephews surviving. Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
