I am grateful for each and every day of my life; I count each one as a blessing. I believe there is good in everyone, you just have to find it. There are reasons for everything that happens; I believe the most important things about people are integrity and character. I am proud to have raised 5 wonderful children; I can honestly say I have done a great job, and found out very early in life what is really important. Hopefully, I have given them the tools necessary to be successful adults in this world.

I desperately wanted to go into the military,and scored really well on my ASVAB test. In fact, the recruiter came to the house and explained that I would go through Basic Training, and then immediately go into Military Intelligence. I was very excited to learn that I had actually scored in the top 2% of people who take the test for certain categories. I couldn't believe it! But as you all know, life sometimes makes other arrangements for our future.

The highest point would have to be when my children graduated high school, and entered college. There are so many kids out there who don't care anything about furthuring their education or bettering themselves in any way. I knew that when my kids chose to go to college that all my years of training them to be effective adults had paid off. All the nights up late studying with them to teach them good study habits and work ethics had paid off. I felt such a sense of accomplishment as a mother, and as a woman. I knew at that very moment that I was the integral part of a beautiful success story!

You will all be surprised to know that I'm going to be a grandmother in March, 2011! The baby's name is Taylyn Marie Jablonske!!!! I'm going to be the youngest, hoppin grandma on the block! Brittany(mom) is 24, and teaches preschool in Red Wing. She will be an excellent mother to my son's child!!
