Welcome to Community Presbyterian Church! Each week we are privileged to have new people attending worship for the first time, and we want you to feel welcome among us. Following the service, please join us in Teddy’s Hall for fellowship and refreshments. 
 
Today ~ Blood Pressure Screenings in the Wellness Office between 10:00 and 11:00.
 
Each week there are opportunities for learning and fellowship:

Lifelong learners may join the continuing study of the Book of Mark in the Library each Sunday morning from 10:15-11:00

OR

A new study from the author of the Message Bible, Eugene Peterson, on his book Tell It Slant. Study guides are available for participants who meet weekly in the Mountain Room from 9:30-10:30

 
Please note NEW church office hours:  Each day, Monday through Thursday, the office will be closed from 12:00-1:00 for lunch.  If you need copies made for a scheduled meeting, please email them ahead of time and we will place your copies in your box. 
 
Special thank you to ALL the CPC members and friends who supported both the parking lot sale and silent auction through your donations and participation.  All funds collected are shared with the Kisauni Parish churches to ensure that the children of the Mombasa, Kenya, community will continue to have meals and women will have hygiene products plus continuing to support the exchange of Kisauni Parish representatives to Community Presbyterian Church and CPC representatives to visit Mombasa.
 
Mark Your Calendars ~ For these upcoming church events:  
 
You are invited ~ CPC Singles Group ~ for lunch and to plan the 2018-2019 schedule.  They will meet today at 1:00 pm in the church parking lot to ride share to Faith, Hope and Charity Vineyards near Terrebonne.  All are welcome to share a no-host meal and fellowship.  If you are able to attend, please sign up in the church lobby or be at the church parking lot by 1:00.
 
Men's Breakfast ~ Wednesday, October 3, 8:00 am in Teddy's Hall.  The breakfast will be prepared by our own crew at a cost of $5.00.  Ed Martinez is our guest speaker this month.  If you can join us, please sign up in the lobby.
 
Discovering CPC ~ Join us for lunch and an afternoon of conversation on Sunday, October 7, from 12:15-3:00.  Learn more about our church and consider joining as a member. 
 
Bethel Series ~ How do we come to know Jesus?  How do we meet the true Christ as revealed in the Scriptures?   The Bethel Series seeks to address these questions with a unique overview approach of the Old and New Testaments.  John Brand and Steve cross will present a class on The Bethel Series starting Sunday, October 7, from 3:00-5:00.  The course study materials coast $50/testament.  Plan on discovering scripture in a new way; it will change your life!
 
Announcements and Volunteer Opportunities ~
 
MOPS ~ The MOPS program has begun!  MOPS meets the first and third Tuesday each month at 9:30.  If you would like to become involved in the MOPS program or volunteer for childcare, please contact Emily Nelson through the church office.
 
Youth and Ministry Helpers Wanted ~ If you are interested in helping with the Youth Ministry, please email   Emily Nelson at emily@redmondcpc.org
 
Sound and Projection System Volunteers Needed ~ Please call the office if you would be interested in voluteering to help run either the sound system or projection system during the Sunday morning worship services.
 
Ushers and Communion Servers Needed ~ Please sign up to usher at either the 9:00 or 11:00 am service from September - December.  You may choose one Sunday a month for six months or whatever fits your schedule.  Find the usher book on the sign-up table.  Please call the church office at 541-548-3367 if you have any questions.
 
Sunday Morning Kitchen Helpers Needed ~ The Food and Fellowship Team needs extra helpers in the kitchen on Sunday mornings.  If you are able to volunteer, please contact Sharon Lynch or Liz Scanlon through the church office. Training is provided.
 
Spring Directory ~ The 2018 edition is available for pick up in the narthex by the sign-up sheets.

Coffee and Tea Donations ~ The Congregational Life Team is accepting donations for coffee and large teabags for ice tea to support the fellowship hour on Sunday mornings.  Thank you.
 
Per Capita ~ You can now choose to pay your Per Capita online! Go to www.redmondcpc.org click on the GIVE NOW BUTTON and choose the Per Capita option. This year’s Per Capita is $32.00 per person.
 
Support our youth with your bottles and cans ~ Please leave them by CPC's north door on the lowel level.  Thank you.
 
Juniper Springs ~ Information brochures from our new neighbors at Juniper Springs are located by the sign-up sheets in the narthex. Please feel free to take one.
