School Story:
I was your quintessential "Band Geek"! Weighed 80 pounds dripping wet, frizzy curly hair (from a perm, of course) and not so cute. I think some people were surprised that my first boyfriend was one of the "popular" boys. Voted "just plain nice" in our year book, Jim Rameriz, was more than nice - but those are stories we will keep to ourselves! I had lunch with Jim recently and he admitted that his pals, back in the day, did give him a hard time for going out with me, telling him, "what are you thinking?" This, referring to my looks and that he could do a lot better. We had a great senior year, but my number 1 regret was not going to Grad night with Jim (yes Jim, I heard about your hook up with Stephanie!) Guess devotion to your girl friends, who by the way none had boyfriends and had all agreed that we would all go to Grad night together, but then in the end they all ended up with dates, except for me - who was the only one that did have a boyfriend, means absolutely nothing!
Senior year definitely had forever changing events. That mad leap of 11th grade (getting your braces off, getting your driver's license - oh yeah, who can forget our driver's ed. teacher who later got arrested for sexual assault - I always wondered why he would compliment me on my high heeled wedgies) to 12th grade (wondering what college you will be going to, losing your virginity, smoking your first dooby- I know that is not what they call it now, but it was then!) was definitely forever changing!!!
