9 AUG 2021 UPDATE:

Our group is not going to be as large as we hoped, but there will still be lots of fun to be had!  

First things first - here are requirements to participate in tours and activities while at Edelweiss Lodge:  

     1) Proof of being fully vaccinated for at least 14 days.

     2) Proof of recovery from having Covid-19 (at least 28 days old but no older than 6 months).

     3) Documentation of a passed Covid test no earlier than 1300 hours the day prior to the tour. Tests are 

         available in Garmisch. The Front Desk has a list of those locations. 

Please bring these documents with you as they often are checked at the attractions and restaurants. An FFP2 mask is required for guests age 15 and older, a regular official mask (not scarfs or buffs) for children 6-14 years, and 5 yrs and under have no mask requirement. The masks are available for purchase at Alpine Adventures. 

You'll want to download the LUCA App for contact tracing this will streamline your vacation experience during your stay. This is required by many restaurants and tourist destinations in Bavaria for contact tracing as a virus mitigation strategy. It will be required on most Alpine Adventures tours. 

Now that's out of the way, here are only a few things we can do while in Garmisch:

          • Take a gondola ride to the AlspiX viewing platform
          • Experience the world-record holding Zugspitze gondola
          • Join a guided tour and try the amazing Alpine Coaster
          • Learn about the famous King Ludwig on a guided tour
          • Get "certified" as a Bavarian Beer expert on our Brew Tour (I know a few people who are paying                      attention now!)

Here is a list of tours available during our stay -- I'd like to recommend the items in red as activities we can do as a group, taking advantage of the bus transportation to/from.  I've updated the itinerary (below) to reflect this.  If you are interested in going on those three activities, please let me know right away and I'll make the reservations for us as a group to ensure everyone who wants to go can be accommodated.  This should leave plenty of time to rest, relax, and explore on our own.
