A Message From EHS Class of 1964 Senior Class President, John Blair

“Welcome to the EHS Class of ’64 - 50th Reunion Home Page.  We’re glad that you have stopped by.  Your reunion committee has made this site available as your one-stop site for all you need to know about our 50th Reunion next October 10 & 11.  Take a look around, create a profile and let us know where you are and what you have been doing these last 50 years, post a picture, make a post, and tell us what you think.

Most of all, start making plans to join all the Eagles from the great class of ‘64 for a fantastic time!  It’s hard to believe that it has been 50 years since graduation.  It was so long ago, but the memories are still strong.  It was such an amazing time in our lives and such a great time to be growing up in Southern California.  Come and relive your memories with old friends and classmates.  See people you haven’t seen in years.  Catch us up on what has happened in your life and find out about what has happened to everyone else.  Have you ever asked yourself, I wonder what happened to………. ……….?

Well, someone is probably asking themselves that same question about you.  Come join the fun and make the event special for someone else.  I hope to see you there!

John

Now Is the Time

To do all that we imagined in 1964.

To keep our eyes forward –the past will come no more.

Time to recall and embrace friends from long ago

Make new ones, mend fences, share pictures

“How did your life flow?”

We have all had difficulties and struggles

We are human after all

But now is the time for enjoying those we used to know.

Intimate conversations, and light chatter will

Merge into the sound that makes each life matter.

Laughter, tears, speeches, cheers

These few moments can be cherished

Now is the time to share, to embrace, to look upon each glowing face.

Come be with us for this time

Golden eagles 50 years on

We all have a place –we all belong.

Well, our 50th Reunion is over.  We had 140 attend what was a great 3 day weekend with the Meet and Greet on Friday night at the Hilton, Golf Tournament on Saturday morning at Shandin Hills Golf Course, the main even on Saturday evening at the Arrowhead Event Center, which was a wonderful venue and rounding it all off with a Class Picnic on Sunday at 7th Street Park in Yucaipa.  What a wonderful time was had by all.  The planning committee outdid itself (if I do say so myself...LOL).  We had great Sponsorship helping make this such a great event.  A big shout out and thanks to all our Sponsors.  We were able to touch base with so many of our classmates that many of us had not seen in 20, 30, 40 and in some cases, 50 years.  What an emotional high it was!!!!  Gayle Medley graced us with a beautiful tribute in songs to our Veterans and Barbra Koch Badger read an essay to the Class of 1964 written by herself which was great.  We had a raffle, by which our 2 Prom Queens, Cherrian Felicetta Shelton and Judy Wyant Conroy chose the winning numbers.  The mic was passed around and most all of us were able to say a little bit about what we had been doing the last 50 years.  We had a "surprise" guest come and join us.  Ms. Willett, the girls PE teacher from Rialto Junior High School.  So much more to talk about, but one must stop sometime.  All in all, a good time was had by all.  Thank you to everyone who made the trek, some of whom came here from across the US.  We had a few who could not be with us because of illness and had planned on coming.  A shout out to Don Josi, a very big supporter of this reunion and this web page, Dianna Ridge Pillar, whose husband is not well, Charles Stark, who had a recurrence of an illness he had a few years ago.  Bill Potter, also was ill and could not attend Saturday night's festivities.  He made it to the Meet and Greet on Friday, but was sick all evening Friday and all day Saturday.

Let's all get together in 2019 for our 55th reunion, if not before.  While we are waiting for the year 2019, we need to keep a lookout for "missing classmates" and get them involved in this website so we can keep track of where they are.  We have a lot of these classmates, some of which are around and we know it and where they are, but have not signed up for the website.  The website will remain up.  I have no plans of stopping this wonderful tool for us for a very long time.
